I Prabhjot Kaur Prop. Of ANMOLPREET FOOD PRODUCTS. It Was year 2004 when I took my daughter (Anmolpreet) just for consultation with the doctor as she used to complain about frequent stomach ache. I after every few days usually would say “Something is strange about our daughter’s health” a statement which my husband often ignored. After a few tests my daughter was diagnosed as a celiac, we were shocked! We could not believe that such an allergy existed. Doctor had further advised an endoscopy, we were scared that how would she endure all this.

Celiac? My daughter! This is strange.( I Suspected my doctor ). I went on the net and gathered more information about celiac disease and about the severe problems my daughter has had. We thanked GOD for having diagnosed on time. All my doubts about the doctor vanished. I listened to my doctor very carefully from thereafter. I further observed that a protein namely GLUTEN found in wheat was the main culprit for my daughter’s. Gluten name became our family’s enemy no:1.

What to give my child to eat? It was hard for us to imagine how and what to give to our daughter to eat. Every bite of breads, roties, burgers, pizzas, biscuits, namkeens, etc. etc. became hard for us to swallow. Keeping in mind that our daughter could not have them with us.

FIRST BURGER

My Husband cut idly in half and put the cutlet in it and offered it to our daughter. We sat together on the dining table and said to her that this was the tastiest burger in the world. She was delighted and thrilled and had her burger. It made us happy too, we had our dinner with some ease that day.

FIRST OUTING

The very first restaurant that came across our mind was a south Indian “South Day”. Our first query was”atta maida key bina kya hai apke pass” (tell us the dishes without wheat flour). I still remember the confused look on his face.

This phrase became a permanent question we asked everywhere, and the answer off all vendors would be either callous or awkward, and often we would be disappointed. I approached a my family friend & doctor( D.M.C. Hospital ) who considered my daughter as his own and discussed the difficulties of being a celiac. He suggested me about to make gluten free, wheat free products.

Further mutual dialogue further gave birth to this ANMOLPREET FOOD PRODUCTS. We started this programme since 2003, as a team & our mutual expertise in food, taste etc. helped us getting some food stuff ready. There were some Celiacs in Ludhiana who readily added up three orders which we prepared once in a month. Few more people added in the group subsequently and we shared each other’s practical difficulties in day to day life. Within all these years of trial & turbulations we managed to make different varieties of biscuits, breads buns pizza base cakes nutritious atta, namkeens etc. keeping in mind of our Children Taste. This was our part of experience, and have learnt a lot from each other & with whomsoever we are in touch.
